In 2003, he entered the Tomsk Edison Denisov Musical College (class of Svetlana Kravchenko). In 2008, the singer received the gold medal at the Delphiс Games (Solo Performance nomination). In 2011, he received Grand prix fo the 2nd Interregional Myasnikova Vocal Competition. In 2012, he graduated from the Novosibirsk State Glinka Conservatoire (Academic Singing) supervised by Professor Vladimir Urbanovich. In 2010–2012, he worked at the Novosibirsk Musical Comedy Theatre. In 2012, Sergey Kuzmin became a soloist with the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
