Misha Maisky is known for being the only cellist in the world who studied both Mstislav Rostropovich and Grigory Pyatigorsky. Born in Latvia, Misha Maisky was educated at the Moscow Conservatory. Moving to Israel in 1972, the musician was enthusiastically welcomed in London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, New York and Tokyo, as well as in other major music capital cities of the world.

One of the tops of Misha Maisky's career was a world tour in 2000, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the death of JS Bach, which included more than 100 concerts. Records of the artist were recognized by critics around the world and were awarded such prestigious awards as the Japanese Record Academy Prize (five times), Echo Deutscher Schallplattenpreis (three times), Grand Prix du Disque and Diapason d'Or of the Year, and were repeatedly nominated for Grammy.

Boris Andrianov is one of the leading Russian musicians of his generation. He is the ideological inspirer and leader of the project "Generation of stars", within the framework of which concerts of young talented musicians are held in different cities and regions of Russia. For this project in 2009 he was awarded the RF Government Culture Prize. In 2008 the first in the history of Russia the cello festival was held in Moscow, the art director of which is Boris Andrianov. In 2016, the musician was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
Boris Andrianov was born in 1976 in a family of musicians. He graduated from the Gnessin School of Tennessee (VM Birina's class), then studied at the Moscow Conservatory (class of Professor NN Shakhovskaya) and continued his education at the Hans Eisler High School of Music (Germany) in the class of the famous cellist David Gehringas .
At the age of 16 he became a laureate of the I International Junior Competition. PI Tchaikovsky, and a year later received the first prize and grand prix at the contest in South Africa. In May 1997, Boris Andrianov, together with pianist Alexei Goribol, became a laureate of the First International Competition named after I. D. D. Shostakovich Classica Nova (Hanover, Germany). At the VI International Contest of cellists M. Rostropovich in Paris (1997), the musician became the first representative of Russia to receive the title of laureate in the history of the competition. With his participation in the 2000 Antonio Jahnigro International Competition in Zagreb (Croatia), where Boris Andrianov was awarded the first prize and received all the special prizes, the cellist confirmed his high reputation, which arose after the 11th International Competition. Boris Andrianov performs with symphonic and chamber orchestras, including the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the O. Together with the famous Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki, the cellist repeatedly performed his Concerto grosso for three cellos and orchestra. The Moscow Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic" was established by the Moscow Government in 2000. Since 2001, by the appointment of the Department of Culture of Moscow, the director of the orchestra is the initiator of his creation Gayane Shilajyan. The post of the chief conductor of the orchestra was occupied by Alexander Vedernikov, Yuri Kochnev, Maxim Fedotov. Since 2011, the main conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Moscow "Russian Philharmonic" is Dmitry Yurovsky.
Today the Moscow Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic" is one of the best and most popular orchestras in Russia, with great success performing in major concert halls at home and abroad. Concert, rehearsal and administrative base of the Symphony Orchestra of Moscow "Russian Philharmonic" is the Moscow International House of Music. "Russian Philharmonic" carries out large-scale innovative projects. The most successful of these is the cantata of Carmina Burana by K. Orff with projections of slides and video projections of masterpieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Bosch, Brueghel, Raphael, Durer, which fill the whole space of the auditorium during the concert. Also, with the use of the latest light-projecting technologies, projects were implemented: a cycle for children "The Tale of Russian Music" ("The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "The Golden Cockerel" and "The Humpbacked Horse") with the participation of theater and film artists; concert performance of the opera "Aida" by G. Verdi with immersion in the atmosphere of ancient Egypt. To its 15th anniversary in March 2016, the orchestra conducted the Festival, in which a new project was presented: "The Sacred Spring" by I. Stravinsky and Scheherazade by N. Rimsky-Korsakov with the projections of the restored sketches of N. Roerich and L. Bakst.
With the orchestra collaborated with famous artists: R. Alanya, P. Burchuladze, R. Villazon, M. Caballe, Kiri Te Kanava, H. Carreras, H. Kura, D. Khvorostovsky, M. Vengerov, S. Krylov, V. Repin, B. Berezovsky, N. Lugansky, D. Matsuev and many others. A number of joint projects were carried out with the participation of Russian pop stars, including L. Dolina, T. Gverdtsiteli, N. Baskov.
The Moscow Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic" conducts a variety of educational activities, actively develops the national musical culture. One of the new directions of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra is the organization and conduct of the Live Cinema Concert, which is accompanied by the famous films Metropolis, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings .

Every year, with the support of the Moscow Government, the Russian Philharmonic Society holds two festivals. At the end of June - the Festival of Classical Musical Art in Tsaritsyno. The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra performed in the best venues in Austria, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Japan, Oman, Taiwan. In the season 2012/13 the orchestra opened the European Music Festival in Sofia (Bulgaria), and with great success debuted at the Bruckner Festival in Linz (Austria). In September 2013, with great success, concerts were held in France: in Lyon, at the International Music Festival in Besançon. In 2014, the debut performance of the orchestra took place in London at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the cross-cultural year of Russia and the UK; also the collective took part in the closing of the International Festival of Classical Music D-Marin Turgutreets in Bodrum (Turkey). In September 2015, the musicians performed at the Bruckner Festival in Linz and at the International Music Festival in Bratislava.
The orchestra was awarded the gratitude of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Medinsky, for his active participation in the preparation and conduct of the All-Russian Music Contest (2012); and also thanks of the head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov for his active work in the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
