The Russian State Academic Chamber Vivaldi Orchestra was created in 1989 by the famous violinist and teacher Svetlana Bezrodnaya. The first performance of the band took place on May 5, 1989 on the stage of the Column Hall of the House of Unions. Five years later, in 1994, "Vivaldi Orchestra" was awarded the title "academic", and two years later its creator, Svetlana Bezrodnaya - the title of "People's Artist of Russia".
"Vivaldi Orchestra" is a collective, the only one of its kind on the Russian stage: in its composition only representatives of the fair sex. S. Bezrodnaya does not hide the fact that both the composition and the name of the orchestra were inspired by the work of the great Antonio Vivaldi. "Vivaldi Orchestra" is a kind of "remake" of the female orchestra created by Vivaldi at the San Pieta Monastery in Venice at the beginning of the 18th century. One of the most important principles of S. Bezrodnaya's work with the group was the system of individual classes with orchestras developed by her in the years of teaching at the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, thanks to which each performer maintains a high professional level.
For almost 27 years the orchestra has given more than 2,000 concerts, has prepared more than 100 exclusive programs. The repertoire of the collective includes more than 1000 works of various genres, eras and styles: from the early Baroque (A. Scarlatti, A. Corelli) to the music of the twentieth century and contemporary authors. Among them there are numerous miniatures, such large-scale paintings as Britten's Phaedra and Bizet-Shchedrin's Carmen Suite, Recollection of Florence and Serenade for the Tchaikovsky String Orchestra, Vivaldi's Seasons and his little-known works - psalms , cantatas ... Experiences on execution of masterpieces of opera and ballet theater in transcriptions for string orchestra (ballet "Don Juan" by Gluck, "Magic Flute" and "Don Juan" by Mozart, "Eugene Onegin", "Queen of Spades" and all ballets by Tchaikovsky, Verdi's La Traviata).
The concert programs of the Vivaldi Orchestra, as a rule, are theatricalized, they never repeat each other, they differ in the originality of the compositional structure and in the thorough elaboration of the internal drama. It is thanks to this that the orchestra S. Bezrodnaya managed to occupy his special niche on the domestic concert stage. Subscriptions of the orchestra for many years occupy the first positions in the rating of sales, and concerts are held at the same time as sold-out.
One of the important activities of Vivaldi Orchestra was the development of a huge layer of the world musical culture, often referred to as "light music". We are talking about hits of the 1920s-1950s from the repertoire of dance orchestras of those years, operetta and jazz, urban romance and mass song. The result of the constant artistic pursuit of S. Bezrodnaya was the numerous programs of the Vivaldi Orchestra, which are a synthesis of classical and jazz music, opera and ballet, and a colloquial genre. Among them - musical performances "Vivaldi tango, or the game" all-in "," Lights of the big city "," Marlene. Unsuccessful meetings "," Podmoskovnye Vechera "(on the occasion of the centenary of V.P. Solovyov-Sedoi - was awarded the 1st prize at the Contest-festival in honor of the jubilee of the great composer in Moscow)," Circus of Charlie Chaplin "with the participation of artists of the Moscow Circus Yu.Nikulina on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, "Greetings from the style of the 50's" (a joint project with the leader of the band Off Beat Denis Mazhukov). In May 2003, the orchestra took part in the celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade, S. Bezrodnaya and Vivaldi Orchestra showed the musical performance "Listen, Leningrad!" On the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
The program dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Great Victory was awarded to the President of the Russian Federation, and on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Victory S. Bezrodnaya together with the outstanding dancer V. Vasiliev delivered a musical performance "Songs of the Unconquered Power". The performance, which absorbed the best of the Soviet song classic, was held on May 2, 2005 on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and became the premiere of the "Music Theater Svetlana Bezrodnaya" the day before.
A huge success among fans of the orchestra enjoy concerts, which the team annually prepares for the celebration of the Old New Year and St.Valentine's Day. Valentine, April Fools' Jokes. In these programs are masters of different genres and friends of the orchestra: theater and cinema actors.
Due to its versatility, the widest genre range, "Vivaldi Orchestra" is a welcome guest of various festivals and concert programs. The team constantly performs in the most prestigious halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, other cities of Russia and CIS countries. He tours a lot abroad.
S. Bezrodnaya and "Vivaldi Orchestra" are the indispensable participants in the largest state and governmental events, solemn concerts in the Kremlin.
Many programs of the orchestra are recorded on compact discs. To date, the discography of the team is 29 albums.
In 2008, the team was awarded the Grant of the Government of the Russian Federation.

It seems, most recently, "Vivaldi Orchestra" celebrated its 20th anniversary, and in January 2014 he celebrated his quarter-century anniversary. What has been done in recent years? Let's name just some projects. In the 2009/10 season the band presented to its numerous admirers both already familiar programs and new ones (in particular, three philharmonic concerts were devoted to the Year of France in Russia), in the 2010/11 season the orchestra "gave a musical tribute" to the Year of Italy in Russia, and also prepared a performance "Gone with the Wind", which has already been shown by the channel "Culture".
In the philharmonic season of 2011/12 the collective delighted the listeners with traditional season tickets in which both familiar and "exclusive" music sounded (for example, the program of "Svetochteni 20-40's." From the repertoire of leading dance orchestras of the middle of the 20th century, beloved by its eccentricity ). Participants of concerts and performances of Svetlana Bezrodnaya and her ensemble were outstanding contemporary artists. Among them - Vladimir Vasiliev, a great friend and admirer of the conductor's talent S. Bezrodnoy, acting in her programs not only as a stage director, but also as a leading and famous actor Alexander Domogarov. They, in particular, together with the Vivaldi Orchestra honored the memory of the outstanding pianist Nikolai Petrov with a "musical offering" on November 6, 2011 in the Great Hall of the Conservatory. (Speech about the play "Masquerade without Masks.")
One of the main projects of S. Bezrodnaya and her orchestra in the 2012/13 season was the musical and literary play "The Ball after the Battles", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812. In the same season, in the spring, in the Great Hall of the Conservatory, another interesting program called "Return" (music and poetry of the "thaw era") was shown. The final concert of the season was a memorial program dedicated to the 335th anniversary of the birth of A.Vivaldi. Along with the orchestra, laureates of international competitions, as well as talented young performers - students of the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory took part in this concert.
The concert season of 2013/14 was also marked by a number of interesting premieres, among which, first of all, the cycle of musical and literary performances "Three stories of love and loneliness. Secrets of Don Juan, Casanova, Faust. " This triptych was dedicated to the great Russian ballerina Catherine Maximova.
Not less bright premieres was the season 2014/15. Among them, it is necessary to single out the first part of the dilogy dedicated to PI Tchaikovsky, entitled "Childhood ... Opera ... Fate ...", performance "Love and Tango".
In February, at the Theater of the Russian Army, the orchestra took part in the jubilee in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Zeldin.
To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in March in the Concert Hall named after P.T. Tchaikovsky, the collective showed a premiere performance titled "Songs of the Unbowed Power", in which famous actors of the theater and cinema, entertainers took part.
The anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky (175th birthday) was celebrated in November in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory with the premiere of the second part of the Dilology dedicated to the life and work of the great Russian composer, with the play "Dreams ... Presentations ... Dreams ...".
In 2015, the orchestra performed with concerts in the cities of Russia: Moscow, Yaroslavl, Kirov, Yoshkar-Ola, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Novomoskovsk, Istra, Obninsk, Izhevsk, Votkinsk, Kazan, Kaluga, Samara, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Ekaterinburg, Syktyvkar, Tula. In total, in 2015 the orchestra played about 50 concerts.

Svetlana Bezrodnaya is a People's Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Russian State Academic Chamber Vivaldi Orchestra. She graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory (teachers I. Bezrodny and A. Yampolsky) and the Moscow Conservatory, where she studied with professors A. Yampolsky and D. Tsyganov (specialty), V. Shirinsky (quartet class). In her student years, S. Bezrodnaya was a member of the first female quartet in the country, later named after S. Prokofiev. At the end of the Conservatory she performed, was a soloist of the "Roskoncert", and then she took an active part in pedagogy. For more than 20 years S. Bezrodnaya taught at the Music School, she created the author's method of violin playing, thanks to which many of her class students became laureates of a number of prestigious international competitions (Tchaikovsky's name in Moscow, named after Wieniawski, named after Paganini, etc.). In the walls of the Central Music School, S. Bezrodnaya formed an ensemble of violinists of her class, who toured the country and abroad.
In 1989, S. Bezrodnaya returned to the stage, creating a chamber "Vivaldi Orchestra". As the leader of the orchestra, she again began to act as an actively performing soloist. Her partners were such renowned musicians as I. Menukhin, V. Tretyakov, Yu. Bashmet, I. Oistrakh, N. Petrov, V. Feigin, M. Yashvili, Y. Milkis and others.
Heading "Vivaldi Orchestra" for almost 27 years, S. Bezrodnaya is in constant creative search. She has accumulated a unique repertoire of the collective - more than 1000 compositions by composers from different eras and countries, from early baroque to Russian and foreign avant-garde music. A special place in the programs of the orchestra belongs to the works of Vivaldi, JS Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich. In recent years, S. Bezrodnaya with her orchestra increasingly turns to so-called "light" music. It's about operetta, repertoire of dance orchestras of the world, jazz. Mastery of performers and original programs with participation of not only academic musicians, but also artists of popular genres, variety, theater and cinema allowed S. Bezrodnaya and "Vivaldi-orchestra" to occupy their niche in the concert space.
S. Bezrodnaya was awarded the honorary titles: "Honored Artist of Russia" (1991) and "People's Artist of Russia" (1996) for merits in the field of musical art. She was awarded the President's Thanks (1995). In 2008, she was named among the first laureates of the Russian National Award "Ovation" in the field of music in the category "Classical Music".
