Discover fantastic Perm during panoramic city tour by car (4 hours)

Perm is an administrative center of Perm region (Permsky krai) in Russia. It is situated on the banks of the river Kama, at the foot of Ural Mountains.

During this tour you will walk along Sibirskaya street – the Kama embankment. You will visit the “Doctor Zhivago” places, Art Gallery, Historical Museum and famous Museum of Artillery, so-called “Stalinist-style” palaces named after Lenin and Sverdlov. You will also get an opportunity to visit Russian churches (Kamenskikh, Voznesensko-Feodosyevskaya, Petropavlovskaya).

While continuing on your historical adventure, see the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tchaikovsky, one of the most renowned theatres in Russia. Afterwards, allow your tour guide to lead you through the central streets, and then off the tourist trail to admire some of the region’s lesser known treasures. Before you resume your journey, see some of the region’s notable museums and remarkable art galleries, be sure to pay attention to the spell-binding views of the Kama River. 

During the final days of Russia’s imperial dynasty, it was believed that Michael Alexandrovich, the last of the Romanov, was taken to a forest outside of Perm to be executed. The excursion ends with your tour guide unravelling the history of the most inexplicable mysteries in Russian history, the fall of the Romanov dynasty. During this time, you will be enthralled as your guide invites you to walk the final footsteps of the last Tsar.

The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is the youngest of the pre-revolutionary churches of Perm. It was built in the beginning of the XX century, as a chapel of the Uspensky monastery. The construction was started in 1905 and completed in 1908. The Kazan church is one of the most striking examples of the Neo-Russian style in the Kama region and strangely enough - the only characteristic pattern in Perm. Read more
The Museum of History of Motovilikhinskiy Zavod was opened in 1976 by decision of the management and party organization of the plant. Today the museum is represented by two expositions - in the building of the XIX century, which is an architectural monument, and on the open ground. Read more
Palace of Culture named after V. I. Lenin (also known as the Palace of Culture of Motovilikhinskiye Zavody), an architectural monument of regional importance, located in Motovilikha district of Perm city, on Ural street, 93. On the high bank of the Kama stands an ancient mansion. In its almost 130-year history of the house changed hands several times, but in the city’s memory he retained the name of its first owner – Nikolay Meshkov. Now in Meshkov House is open an exhibition on the history of the Perm region from ancient times to the late twentieth century. Perm Museum of local lore is the largest and most visited museum in Perm region. Read more
The existence of the gallery begins with the opening in 1902 of the art department of Perm Scientific Industrial Museum. In the 1920s the collection was replenished with significant number of the ancient Russian works of decorative-applied art and sculptures. In 1922 the Museum of Art was opened under Perm State Regional Museum which in 1936 became independent, and was called as the Art Gallery. Read more
Peter and Paul Cathedral is one of the first stone buildings of Perm near the old (now closed) railway station. It is known that Perm was founded in 1723 by Vasily Tatischev commissioned with the task to build a copper smeltery at the confluence of the Yegoshikha and Kama rivers.  Read more
