ALROSA History and Production Museum (Mirny)

The exposition of the museum is devoted to the history of the creation and formation of the diamond mining industry, as well as the local history of Yakutia. The main task is to preserve the historical memory of the Diamond Province.

The museum was opened on April 22, 1986.

The entrance to the museum is made in the style of the "shaft of the mine" and everywhere inscriptions in foreign languages with the only meaning "diamond".

The museum will tell where and when the first diamond was found; in which industries the most solid mineral on earth is used; What are the ways in which diamonds are mined and where are the deposits located? how the careers look; what machinery works in the diamond mining industry; what specialists are required to work in the company; what is a "drag"; in which countries are still mined diamonds, etc.
