Cape Polovinnyi

Cape Polovinnyi is one of the most famous places on the Old Circum-Baikal railway. Here are the longest and shortest tunnels of the Baikal-Amur Railway. This is the entrance to the longest (778.4 meters) and the shortest (29.8 meters) and, by the way, by the number 13 (from the port of Baikal). The tunnel passes through Chaikin cliff.

In general, the CBR is characterized by constantly changing tunnels and viaducts throughout its entire length, but there are three places that radically differ from everything else - the beginning, the end and the middle. So, the railway is divided equally into two parts Cape Polovinnyi, which stands out among other things of the landscape in a special way.

This cape is the largest and furthest in the water. Here, the shortest and longest tunnel of the CBR is located side by side - the latter stretches almost a kilometer along a straight line, so that light is visible at the end of the tunnel in the truest sense of the word.

Polovinnyi of every year thousands of tourists come from poor students to wealthy managers and entrepreneurs. For the latter, by the way, there is even a special train "Golden Eagle", a ticket for which costs space money.

Polovinnyi - a kind of a small paradise in the middle of a long road along the rocks, which, of course, will lead to new and impressive places.
