Theatre «The Kremlin Ballet» was founded by famous Russian choreographer, National Artist of Russia Andrey Petrov in 1990. The theatre is situated at the territory of Moscow Kremlin in the building of State Kremlin Palace. Artistic director of the theatre A.Petrov boldly stakes on creative quest and courageous experiment while preserving classical traditions 

1991 - One act ballet “Cavalry Halt” by Armsgamer, staged in redaction of Petipa. Painter V.Pogodin.
1991 - ballet “Cinderella” by Prokoffiev after a tale of Ch.Perro, staged by Vassilyev, painters V.Volsky and R.Volsky, costumes by Zerar Pipar, made by a French firm Nina Richi.
1992 - ballet “Ruslan and Ludmila” music by Glinka–Agafonnikov, after Pushkin`s fairy tale, staged by Petrov, painter M.Sokolova. 1993 - ballet “The Nutcracker” by Tchaikovsky after tale of E.T.A.Goffman, staged by A.Petrov, painter B.Messerer, costumes by O.Polyanskaya. 
1994 - ballet “Don Quixote” by Minkus, after Cervanteses novel, choreography by Gorsky, staged by Vassilyev, painters V.Volsky and R.Volsky. 
1995 - ballet “Zeus” music by D.Arapis after legends and myths of Ancient Greece, staged by A.Petrov, painters V.Volsky and R.Volsky. 
1997 - "The Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky. The restoration and scenography of the Moscow redaction of the Bolshoi Theatere under A. Petrov’s guidance. Choreography of L. Ivanov, M. Petipa, A. Gorsky, A. Messerer. Scenery by S. Benediktov, costumes by O. Polianskaya.
1995 - ballet “Napoleon Bonaparte” music by Khrennikov, choreographical fantasy on historical theme. Staged by A.Petrov, painter S.Benedictov, costumes by O. Polianskaya. 
1997 - ballet-diptych “Nevsky prospect” after Gogol’s novels. Music by Shostakovitch (“The Portrait”) and Schnitke (“The Scetches”), staged by A.Petrov, painter S.Benedictov. 
1998 - ballet “Tom Sawyer” by P.Ovsiannikov after M.Twain’s novel, staged by A.Petrov. painter S.Benedictov, costumes by O. Polianskaya. 
1999 - ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by S.Prokofiev, choreographed and directed by Y.Grigorovitch, scenography and costumes - S.Virsaladze
2000 - one-act ballet "Fantastic Symphony" by G.Berlioz after program of G.Berlioz to the symphony of the same name, choreographed and directed by A.Petrov, painter - V.Arefiev, costumes - O.Polyanskaya 
2001 - ballet "Coppelia" by L, Delibes, choreographed and directed by A.Petrov, stage design - B. Krasnov, stage artwork - P. Oriniansky, costumes - O. Polyanskaya 
2001 - ballet "Ivan the Terrible" by S.Prokofiev, libretto -Y.Grigorovitch, choreographed and directed by Y.Grigorovitch, scenography and costumes - S.Virsaladze 

In the repertoire of The Kremlin Ballet there are also «Evening of ancient choreography» and «Divertissement», which includes numbers of classical and modern choreography.
The scenery of performances is created by leading painters of the stage: Stanislav Benediktov and Olga Polyanskaya, Marina Sokolova and Boris Messerer, Victor and Rafail Volsky, Vladimir Arefiev and Boris Krasnov.
Craftsmanship of artists and soloists of the theatre is sharpened in master-classes and rehearsals of leading ballet tutors, headed by outstanding Russian ballerina Ekaterina Maximova.
The soloists of The Kremlin Ballet are laureates and diplomants of International ballet competitions, they are to create future of the ballet art, the repertory policy of the theatre is directed to the disclosing of creative individuality of the artists.
Today the young theatre occupies the leading position among Russian ballet companies. Performances of The Kremlin Ballet were highly estimated by Russian and foreign critics. Numerous international tours of the theatre are successful. Audience of Italy and China, France and Austria, Israel and Taiwan, Greece and Cyprus, Hungary and Spain highly appreciated performances of The Kremlin Ballet.
