Aida Garifullina (Singer)
Aida Garifullina was born on September 30, 1987 in the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan. Aida’s mother, a professional musician, was the first who noticed her daughter's talent. Debut performance of Aida took place when she was 5 years old - in the TV-program of Sergei Suponev and George Galustyan "Marathon-15", where she sang Edita Piekha’s "Our neighbor."
In 1998, when Aida was 11 years old, her mother took her to audition to Associate Professor of Vocal of Kazan State Conservatory Nina Varshavskaya. The teacher immediately recognized girl’s outstanding vocal abilities, her musicianship, beautiful tone, and asked her to study vocal more serious. Since then, little Aida combines study at school with private vocal’s lessons. Over time, in her repertoire arias and romances of Russian and foreign classics had been appeared (Alyabev, Varlamov, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Caccini, Schubert, Brahms, Gershwin, etc.). At the same time an active concert life on the stages of theaters and halls of Kazan had began. Aida appears in the Opera Theater, Drama Theater, National Theatre, in the State Great Concert Hall, etc.
In 13 years, Aida Garifullina had become grant holder of Fyodor Chaliapin Fund and had got the "Voice of the Year" in the "academic voice" nomination. In the same year 2001 Aida performed at the Pyotr Chaikovskiy Bolshoi Concert Hall accompanied by Chamber Orchestra during the festival "Gifted children of Tatarstan» (Moscow). Aida has successfully participated in various national and international vocal competitions. She’s got the second prize of the "Light Your Star" contest (Moscow), the Grand Prix of the "Song Magic" (Bulgaria), First Prize of "Constellation" contest (Kazan). Also, Aida is the winner of TV contest "Morning Star".
In 2005, Aida had received a grant from the Mayor of Kazan for studying in Germany and went to the High School of Music in Nuremberg in academic vocal class of professor and rector of the school - renowned tenor Siegfried Erusalem. (Siegfried Jerusalem joined the list of the best singers of the world, presented by the Austrian magazine of the Salzburg Opera Festival "Festival Magazine" in 1995.)
After two years, Aida continues her vocal skills training in the legendary University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, better known as "the Vienna Conservatory," in the class of Professor Claudia Visca (Claudia Vissa). In 2009, by the students and staff of the University Mozart's opera "Cosм fan tutte” ("Everybody do so") was staged, in which Aida remarkably sang part of Despina.
During her studies and after Aida gladly responded to invitations to perform at various events and festivals. In 2005 she took part in the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. There was a number of bright performances dedicated to this date. Aida sang in front of numerous foreign delegations, the President of UNESCO, President of Turkey, as well as in front of the three Russian presidents - Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev. Then Aida appears at the summit of CIS Heads of State, during the IV Russian-Swiss Business Summit, takes part in the festival "Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Azerbaijan" in Baku, sings at the inauguration of the president of Tatarstan.
2010 and 2011 are particularly intense for Aida. She participates in the Muslim Magomaev’s First International Competition of Vocalists in Moscow, begins a creative collaboration with famed composer Walter Afanaseff, performs at the closing of XXVI World Student Games in Shenzhen (China). In 2011, Aida graduated from the Vienna Conservatory and receives a diploma. She sings duets not only with famous international stars Alessandro Safina and Michael Bolton, but also with Russian pop artists. Thus, Aida appears in the show "Phantom of the Opera" on "Pervyi” Channel with Dima Bilan, and Philip Kirkirov invites her to participate in his solo concert "DruGoy". Also Aida had been invited at the most important Russian TV show - New Year's "Blue Spark" and the anniversary "Song of the Year."
In addition, Aida Garifullina was awarded the title of Ambassador of the Universiade 2013 in Kazan. In her plans is to perform at the opening of this grand event.
