        Alena Baeva was born in 1985. At the age of 5 she began violin studies and one year later she made her debut with orchestra. In 1993 — 1995 Alena became a laureate of numerous competitions for young musicians. Since 1995 she studied with E. Grach at the Central Music School in Moscow, and since 2002 — at the Moscow Conservatory.

     In 2000 she won the First Prize of the T. Wronsky Violin Competition in Warsaw, Poland, in 2001 — of the prestigious Venyavsky Competition in Poznan, Poland, where Alena also received 9 special prizes. In 2004 Alena Baeva won the Grand Prix of the Paganini International Violin Competition in Moscow. This gave her an opportunity to play Stradivarius 1723 from the State collection of unique music instruments. Since 2001 she is a soloist of the State Moscow Philharmonic.

     Alena Baeva takes an active part in different international music festivals and attends master-classes. As a soloist she performs in the best halls of Russia and abroad: Carnegie Hall, Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Theatre de Champs-Elysees in Paris and others. She collaborated with a number of outstanding orchestras and conductors.

     Alena is supported by the Violin Art Foundation (Moscow) and the M. Rostropovitch Fund.
