prize-winner at the International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singers? Competition (2000, St Petersburg)
and prize-winner at the International Moniuszko Competition (Poland, 2001). 

Born in Leningrad (St Petersburg) into an artistic family.
Graduated from the Choral School of the Academic Glinka Capella with distinction. 
At age thirteen, he performed the role of Tsarevich Fyodor in Boris Godunov at the Mariinsky Theatre. 
Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2000 (class of senior lecturer L. Morozov, Honoured Artist of Russia).
Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 1998. 

Repertoire includes:

Performs regularly in concerts. Has toured frequently with the Mariinsky Opera Company and independently to Spain, Israel, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Belgium, Italy and the USA. 

Has recorded a solo CD of Russian romances with Larisa Gergieva on EMI. Toured to Europe in March 2002 with Larisa Gergieva. Performed concerts on tour in Europe with Larisa Gergieva from February 2002 to 2003. Toured to the USA and Canada in November 2002 with Larisa Gergieva (including two performances at Carnegie Hall). In 2004 with Larisa Gergieva he recorded The Russian Programme in Delos with Harmonia Mundi. 

In 2005 he performed the lead role of Tsar Guidon in a new production of The Tale of Tsar Saltan by Rimsky-Korsakov and the role of Count Libenskof in Rossini?s Il viaggio a Reims at the Mariinsky Theatre. 

In 2005, he made his debut at the Los Angeles Opera and Hamburg Opera as Fenton (Falstaf).
