Batagay

Batagay is a small settlement, the administrative center of the Verkhoyansky ulus of Yakutia. Actually from here, all roads in this area go, since Batagay is the only settlement that has kept a normally functioning airport.

Previously, life was boiling here and people were eager to come here for big salaries. If, for example, in Moscow a person received 100 rubles, then here salaries were 1000 rubles and more.

It is located in the north of Yakutia, on the right bank of the Yana River.

Sharply continental. The climate is highly dependent on cyclones and climate fronts coming from the North due to the absence of natural barriers from the winds of the Arctic Ocean. Higher upstream of the Jan river in Verkhoyansk there is the Pole of cold of the northern hemisphere.

Batagaysky House of Culture used to be the only stone building in Batagay. Now, of course, it is difficult to say, because many buildings are built, including a new school. Now there is a library inside.

Batagay is developing: new buildings are being built, including schools, gardens. There are a lot of right-hand drive vehicles on the streets.
