Alexander Orlov is a renowned St Petersburg theatre designer. Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema in 1974 (workshop of Eduard Kochergin).
Has worked as principal designer at Rigaґs Theatre for Young Spectators and the Fontanka Youth Theatre. Works with such leading St Petersburg theatres as the Mariinsky, the Tovstonogov Drama Theatre, the Baltic House, the Lensovieta, the Maly Drama Theatre (Theatre of Europe) and the Theatre on Liteiny. Has designed productions in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Krasnoyarsk in Russia and in the USA, Poland, Germany, and Norway.
