Prize-winner at the III International Rudolf Nureyev Ballet Competition in Budapest (1998, Grand Prix);
Prize-winner at the III International Modern Dance and Classical Choreography Competition in Nagoya (Japan, 1999, Gold Medal and Vaslav Nijinsky Prize);
Prize-winner at the Х International Moscow Ballet Dancers? and Choreographers? Competition (Moscow, 2005, Grand Prix)
Born in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine).
Between 1989 and 1997 he studied at the Kiev State School of Dance, class of Valery Parsegov.
As a student of the graduation class, he made his debut at the National Opera of Ukraine in the ballet The Sleeping Beauty as Prince Desire.
From June 1997 to 2001 he was a soloist with the National Academic Shevchenko Opera and Ballet Theatre (Kiev).
From March 2001 to March 2002 he was a first soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre.
During that season at the Mariinsky Theatre, he performed in La Sylphide (James), Le Corsaire (Ali), Don Quixote (Basilio) and Jewels (Emeralds, Rubies) as well as in premiere performances of Prodigal Son (Prodigal Son) by George Balanchine and Cinderella (Prince) by Alexei Ratmansky.
From January 2003 to October 2007 – Principal Dancer with the Ukrainian National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
From October 2007 to March 2009 – Principal Dancer with the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

Since October 2005 – Bolshoi State Academic Theatre of Russia
Since May 2007 – Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Italy
