Being a central city of Khabarovsky kray, located 30 km away from the border between Russian and the People's Republic of China, Kahabarovsk is one of the largest political, education and cultural centers of the Far East region, the second after Vladivostok.
The city was founded in 1858 and took its name after the Russian researcher Erofey Khabarov.
You will start your meeting with the city right after being picked up by your tour guide and your driver at your centrally located hotel. Your first stop is the central square of Khabarovsk – Ploshad Lenina. Here you will have a chance to see the Lenin’s monument, the architectural complex that frames the square as well as to hear about the development of the city and how it succeeded to become an important industrial center of the region.
Having enjoyed beautiful streets and major landmarks, you will then continue your trip visiting Khabarovsk Regional Museum Grodekova that houses more than 350 000 exhibits devoted to the Far East. You will hear a number of exciting stories regarding the history of the Far East and the way of life in this region from the old days till now.
