The famous explorer I.D. Chersky found the so-called Kurykanskaya Wall on Olkhon, in its southern part, on the neck of land of the Khorgoy Cape at the end of the 1870s. The wall is attributed to the Kurykan culture. Today it is one of the best preserved ancient buildings of Olkhon. The wall’s height amounts up to two meters; the wall is built of large stones.
