Troitskoye cemetery

Troitskoye cemetery (Troitsky necropolis) - the oldest (from the surviving) cemetery of the city of Krasnoyarsk. It was opened for burial since 1842. The cemetery is located in the Soviet district. The area is about 16 hectares. It is broken into 11 sectors.

On the territory of the cemetery is the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Krasnoyarsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

History

The cemetery is called Troitsky, after the cemetery church of the Holy Trinity. After the fire of 1773, the burial place in Krasnoyarsk was conducted at the All-Vyatka cemetery near the All-Saints Church. The city grew, and the cemetery, which was in the city, was no longer possible to expand further.

In the middle of the 1820s under the architect William Geste, a promising general plan of the city was developed. The city plan was approved by the emperor. In the upper left corner of the plan it is written: "On the true proper e. And. at. It is written with the hand of taco: be this. Nikolay I. S. Petersburg, November 2 days of 1828 ".

According to the plan for the construction of Krasnoyarsk in 1828 under a new cemetery, a square was set aside on the mountain beyond the Kachi River.

By the decision of the Yenisei Gubernia Board of May 29, 1835, the plan and the facade of the church building were approved. They were developed by the provincial architect G. Makovetsky and his assistant, the architect Peter Sharov. The cold Trinity Church was laid down on May 20, 1836, but three months later permission was received from the bishop of Tomsk and Yenisei Agapit, about permission to build a warm limit. He was consecrated in the name of St. Innocent of Irkutsk on August 21, 1842, and the Trinity limit was consecrated on October 11, 1848.

After the consecration of the limit in the name of Innokentii Irkutsk burial began in a new cemetery. One of the first surviving burials dates back to 1843. It is the grave of the philistine Fedor Kollegov.

At first the cemetery had a small area, then it gradually expanded, land was cut from the north and east side. In the 1850s a stone fence with a gate on the western side of the cemetery and later on the south side was built with the money of the Krasnoyarsk merchant Nikolai Inozemtsev.

In the 1860s, the merchant Matvey Sazhin built a stone chapel in the name of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

In 1914, the cemetery was expanded from the western side.

In the 1970s, the cemetery was to be destroyed, but the authorities listened to the protest of relatives who had burials there, to protests and church requests. The cemetery was left, but they did not show any concern for it either.

According to Krastysiz, for 1976 more than 30 thousand burial places (graves) were registered in the cemetery.

In 1991, OP Arzhanykh created a public organization "Cultural and Historical Museum-Necropolis of the Troitsk Cemetery in Krasnoyarsk". In 1996, the administration of the city of Krasnoyarsk gave the status of a historical-memorial, and in 2003 the status of a historical-memorial was recalled.
