Art factory "Semenovskaya painting" - is an acting enterprise for the production of Souvenirs and other products in the style of the Semyonov Khokhloma painting, and concurrently the most popular attraction of the city. Here it tends to get most of the tourists visiting the city, because this company can be proud of. It was here that originated the unique style of Semyonovskaya painting, was one of the most popular Russian Souvenirs – painted Semenovskaya matryoshka, was created the world's largest wooden matryoshka doll from 72 dolls. Today, more than 60% of the factory's production is exported.
During the tour, the visitors learn about the history of the company and its achievements in the current period. But the most interesting part includes the story about the unique painting, which is home to Semenov. Tourists are shown the secrets of the production and its stages, offer workshops in painting dolls.
In 2017, there was opened the largest Museum of Semyonov nesting dolls, which represents more than 700 exhibits made by the factory for almost the entire period of its existence. All in all, the Museum archive has more than 5000 exhibits. Read more
