Bukhta Natalii

The bay of Natalia is located in the north of the eastern coast of Kamchatka between the capes of Savvaty and the High in the waters of the Bering Sea.

This very northern bay of Kamchatka (to the north of it only the bays of Anastasia and Dezhnev, and further - Chukotka) along with the Bay of Russia was one of the most famous bays on the peninsula.
The Bay of Natalia is located in the north of the eastern coast of Kamchatka between the capes of Savvaty and the High in the waters of the Bering Sea. It is adjoined by two small bays - Peter and Paul. At the entrances to these three bays is a small (1.5 x 2.5 km) rock island of the Theologian. The bay of Natalia stretches in a north-western direction. Its length is about 9 km, its width is 5.5 km, its depth along the channel is 20-30 m. In its depth two large rivers flow into the bay: Vatyna and Lugovaya. The dominant peak on the west coast is the mountain of Natalia (809 m).Steeply descending into the waters of the bay, the rocky banks are covered with juicy motley grass and alder stlanik. There are a lot of sea birds, there is a walrus rookery, on the rocks you can see snow rams. The climate there is severe, northern, it is largely determined by the cold current from the Bering Strait. Snow on the slopes of the hills does not melt all summer.
