Construction work lasted for 6 years. The temple was completely ready for operation in mid-summer 2012, and on September 12 of the same year it was consecrated by His Holiness, who presented the icon to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The Church of the Nativity of Christ is located in the very center of the working right bank of Krasnoyarsk. The author of the project is the architect V.I. Ulyanov. The temple accommodates over 1,000 parishioners, its total area is 1990 square meters, the height of the building is 47 meters. Therefore, the church is the largest in the regional center.

Near the building of the temple is the administrative and economic and pilgrimage complexes, a children's Sunday school, a center for Orthodox leisure and a library.
