In the heart of the diamond capital, Mirny, is the Holy Trinity Church. Its building is executed with full observance of traditions of Russian orthodox architecture. Light ceremonial walls, golden domes against the sky blue sky, belfry with bells. The interior of the temple complements the created image. Figures of saints are made in full growth, columns are decorated in the style of Russian and Florentine mosaic, colored and semiprecious stones were used. For the first time in Mirny on the roof of the temple there is an electric heating system. In the days of the celebration of the Nativity of Christ, Baptism, Easter, a bell ringing over the square solemnly and majestically sounds, calling believers to prayers. For large Orthodox holidays, the walls of the temple can not accommodate all comers. At the same time, there may be four hundred people in it. Despite the season and inclement weather, parishioners stand at the walls of the church, listen to the divine liturgy, sing the choir through the loudspeakers. Believers are not afraid of severe Yakut frosts, and for the feast of Epiphany, the blessing of the font and bathing in the ice-hole on Lake Chuonalir is held. Those wishing to immerse themselves in Epiphany waters are becoming more and more numerous every year. The history of the Holy Trinity Church began with a simple community. On May 9, 1996, a stone was laid on the site of the future shrine. On 22 July 2000, construction work was completed. The Holy Archbishop of Yakutsk and Lensky Herman (Moralin) consecrated the Holy Trinity Church. In 2003, there appeared a monumental - decorative composition "Holy Spring" with an angel sculpture. An organic continuation was the square, which is a favorite place for visitors. Here it is always crowded, believers come, students, young families with carriages and children walk.
