Theater of the Youth

Theater of the Youth - a children's theater, founded in 1944. Since 2006, he is included in the Khabarovsk regional association of children's theaters in conjunction with the Regional Puppet Theatre.

In 1940, during a tour of the Far East, the actors troupe of Leningrad New Theatre decided to set up in the city of Theater of the Youth. Work on its creation was continued after the departure of the troupe. Grand opening of the theater took place 11 June 1944 The first performance was the staging of "The Siege of Leiden," performed on the play by I. stock, which has a patriotic theme. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol organization of the city of Khabarovsk, in 1961, for the great work on the aesthetic and moral education of the theater was named after Lenin Komsomol.

Theater of the Youth occupies two buildings, located in the historic center of the city. Both buildings - the objects of cultural and historical heritage. This - the building of the national assembly, built in 1901, and Profitable House Krovyakova, erected at the beginning of 1899. The total capacity of the main auditorium of the theater is 247 seats.
